Hello and thanks for stopping by! I started this website as a way to share my piano music compositions. Here you will find new, original piano books and sheet music for beginners, teens and adults alike. My goal when composing is to create music that is beautiful and also pedagogically sound. So if you are learning how to play the piano and need some fresh, motivating music you've come to the right place!
Apart from composing I am a music educator based in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada. I have an undergraduate degree in Theory and Composition, an associate degree in Piano Pedagogy, and a licentiate degree in Piano Performance from two Canadian music conservatories. I am an RCM specialist in advanced theory and piano. My compositions Lunar Eclipse and Olympic Polonaise won the CFMTA Call for Compositions in 2013 and 2018. I am an active registered music teacher (RMT) and secretary for our local branch of teachers (ORMTA Owen Sound Branch).
I am also fortunate to have attended many Summer Sizzle events in both Ontario and Saskatchewan as a guest composer, working on group compositions with Keyboard Kampers, hosting Composers & Kids sessions, and more.
Simple Gifts is a lovely late elementary level arrangement of the traditional Shaker song; with shared melodies and a canon, it is a real audience pleaser!
I now have over 18 publications through Debra Wanless Music and I am excited and privileged to release new material quite often. I love hearing my compositions played at recitals, festivals and examinations. I would love for you to take a look around my Store; whether you are a teacher, parent, or student I know you will find something that resonates with you. My hope is that you will benefit from my pedagogical approach while playing music that touches your heart.

Praise for Cottage Country: "I’ve been enjoying your Cottage Country! I played Snowfall on Saugeen (duet) this last term with one of my adult students. He loved the piece. And my personal favourite in the book - After the Fair. Wonderfully fresh, unique and musically interesting." - Susan Griesdale, Canadian Composer
